Can't hardly wait for spring to arrive.

Feeling inspired today! So I decided it was a good to create in the kitchen. Mini peppers stuffed with veal sausage, peppers, onions and eggplant. More to come.......

Here I am once again with nothing to do and hunting around in my computer and come across this old blog I started way back in the day. It has been not quite 2 years since I forgot I had this the first time. Once again a lot has happened in the past year. I had a bad slip and fall a year ago requiring surgery this past May. After and extended recovery and being out of work almost 5 months I am glad to say that I have regained most of the motion to my right shoulder. Shortly after returning to work Mom decided to put her home up for sale. In November 2011 we relocated to Ocean County, NJ. I must admit is is nice to be in the land of civilization again. Family, friends, sopping malls, restaurants, movie theaters etc. all near by. I also landed an awesome job as a surveillance nurse within the local hospital system. Albeit only part-time, I am truly thankful that in today's economy that even have a job.

Mom has good days and forgetful days. When needed I vent to Sue usually over a cup of tea and she manages to bring me back into a better frame of mind. She is like the younger sister I never had. I remind my brother on occasion that he got the better end of the deal when he married her. HaHa only kidding they are a great pair. Enough for now Jeopardy is on :-)

Forgot I had this

Well browsing around today and I came across this Blog that I started back in 2008. A lot has happened since then. Since the passing of my step-father I am temporarily (long term) back in NJ. I still have my home in TN and my friend and my niece are taking very good care of it until such time that I am able to return. It seems that the entire family wants mom to move out of her home and mom does not want to move. Since she is no longer able to do a lot of her daily chores be herself any more I have returned to assist her. I have managed to secure a part time agency job which affords me to time to give to mom when she needs it.

This past winter proved to be a real challenge. With almost 5 feet of snow over the course of the winter. Let's just say I really missed Memphis this past winter. We are well into spring almost into summer and it is nice to be able to open the windows and get some fresh air. It is also great to be able to sit outside on the front porch and just enjoy the cool spring evenings (until the mosquitoes force us indoors). Not much else going on other than that more later.......
